Achaeans
- This article is about the ancient people of the Achaeans. See Achaea (MUD) for the MUD.
The Achaeans (in Greek , Akhaioi) is one of the collective names used for the Greeks in Homer's Iliad (used 598 times) and Odyssey. The other names are the Danaans (, used 138 times in the Iliad) and Argives (, used 29 times in the Iliad). In the historical period, the Achaeans were the inhabitants of the region of Achaea, a region in the north central part of the Peloponnese. The city states of this region formed a confederation known as the Achaean League which was influential during the 3rd and 2nd centuries BC.

האכאים (ביוונית Aχαιοί) הוא השם הכללי שניתן לכוחות היווניים באיליאדה ובאודיסיאה של הומרוס (הומרוס השתמש בשם זה 598 פעמים באיליאדה). שמות חלופיים באיליאדה הם הדנאים (Δαναοί; בשם זה השתמש 138 פעמים) והאַרְגֵּאִים (; בשם זה נעשו 29 שימושים). ה"ארגאים" הוא שם פוליטי, שנלקח משמה של בירת האכאים - ארגוס. ה"דנאים" הוא השם שניתן לשבט ששלט בפלופונסוס ובאזור שמסביב לארגוס. ה"אכאים" הוא השם של השבט ששלט לראשונה בשטחי יוון, וחי מסביב לבירתו - מיקנה. אכאיה ביצירותיו של הומרוס היא הממלכה של אגממנון, מפקד הכוחות היוונים. ממלכתו שכנה בחלק הצפוני של הפלופונסוס, שטח שכיום מהווה את המחוזות היווניים אכאיה, קורינתוס וארגוליס. האכאים ההומריים היו חלק מהתרבות המיקנית ששלטה ביוון מהמאה ה-16 לפנה"ס. בתעודות היסטוריות, הכינוי "אכאים" ציין יוונים תושבי חבל אכאיה.
